Property Details

Entering the property through the front door leads you into the rustic well equipped farmhouse kitchen providing an electric oven with three gas hob burners and one electric ring, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster together with all the utensils you will need to prepare meals to eat around the farmhouse kitchen table or outside in the sunshine. The kitchen has exposed beams, large stone fireplace and log burner and two windows providing views of the garden.

The sitting room leads from the kitchen through an exposed stone doorway and boasts a large stone fireplace and log burner. There is plentiful seating together with large TV and DVD player. A doorway leads to a second smaller sitting room, with exposed beams, fireplace and log burner. French doors lead to a shady outside seating area at the rear of the property.

The downstairs bedroom has its own ensuite with double shower, toilet and wash basin. The bedroom has a king size bed and large wardrobe and window opening onto the front terrace. The second bedroom is reached via a staircase from the smaller sitting room and boasts exposed beams, a double bed, ensuite toilet and washbasin. The second shower room is located at the bottom of the stairs and comprises of a shower, washbasin and toilet.

Quality bed linen, towels, tea towels and cleaning materials are provided.


The property has no central heating but has three log burners together with portable electric heaters. During the summer months heating is not usually required but in May and September the first basket of logs will be provided.


A large 55” flat screen TV is providing UK Freesat television channels together with French TV. The property has a DVD player and a selection of DVD’s to choose from. There is a large selection of books to read together with traditional board games

Garden and Outside

Enjoy the tranquillity of the south facing garden and terrace whilst listening to the birdsong which is only interrupted by the occasional tractor! Outside tables and chairs are provided together with sun loungers and a parasol.


Parking is available at the front of the property which is reached through a gate which also provides access for the owners adjoining property.

Visitor Suitability

Given the age of the property, narrow doorways and differing levels within the property is regretfully not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with severe walking difficulties. However the downstairs bedroom which is reached via a small step up is otherwise easily accessible. There is one large step into the property and two steps down into the lounge, The staircases are wooden and quite steep so may not be suitable for very young children and therefore we do not accept children under 8 years old. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets due to us having our own dogs who have their own separate garden.

Information and Additional Facilities

Bedlinen, bath towels and hand towels are provided together with a small washing machine, ironing board and iron. Cleaning materials will be available together with a vacuum cleaner. As the owners live next door they will meet you on arrival and show you around. Tourist leaflets and maps are available in the property.
